We have all been historically affected by migration and each in different ways. With this project I invite people to share their
shoes as statements of where they have been and where they are going thus sharing movement and walking in each
other's footsteps...

Hemos sido históricamente afectados por la migración. Con este proyecto invito a la gente a compartir sus zapatos
como declaraciones de donde ellos han sido y donde ellos van así compartiendo el movimiento y andando en los
pasos de cada uno...

Travelling Shoe Launch in Trinidad & Tobago

From the afternoon until 10pm there was a trickle of people bringing their shoes for the exchange. I started collecting a few days earlier from people who were not able to make it to the launch at Alice Yard. In the end there were fifty pairs of shoes.

I see this merely as the beginning and the process orchestrated by all participants is what defines the project. So there may end up being more than one collection in each country so that those who said they could not bring the first time can still have a chance to do so at a later point.
